How to set the SWC Buttons on Universal Android 12 Autoradio?

If you own a Joying universal android 12 stereo double din car radio or single din head unit, you can follow the below steps to set the steering wheel control buttons.

1. Pls make sure key+canout is connected in the back of the JOYING head unit:

2. Pls go to setting-system-factory(8888)-change model and choose Null-Null-Null as below:

3. Pls go to the setting-Common-key to learn-steering wheel keys learn as below to learn and set the factory steering wheel control buttons:

Step 1: Click the CLEAR button.

Step 2: Learn and set all your factory steering wheel control buttons.

Step 3: Click the SAVE button.

Step 4: Click the return button.

If you still cannot learn and set the SWC buttons successfully, pls kindly take a video to show us(europe@joyingauto.com) how you learned and set the SWC button process, we will have a check for you.

How to solve it?

The volume knob stops working on Android 12 QCM6125

If your radio Android 12 Qualcomm Snapdragon 6125 head unit volume knob buttons are working abnormally, below are two ways you can have a try:

The First way:

1. Whether the A port resistance value is 15.0K, B port resistance is 8.2K, pull-up resistor is 47.0K and error voltage is 51.6mv?

2. Whether knob reverse and Knob function exchange settings are off? (see as below)

 If you are sure that the above settings are correct, then the volume knob still doesn't work, then please adjust the error voltage from 51.6mv to less or much, then see if the volume knob returns to work or not.

If you adjust the error voltage from 51.6mv to less, the volume knob can work, please click OK. If you adjust error voltage from 51.6mv to much, the volume knob can work, please click OK.

NOTE: After you set the error voltage value, please reboot the head unit. 

The Second Way:

1) Please try to disconnect and connect the screen ribbon as below:

2) After finishing the above steps, please reboot the head unit.

Tips for set Third-Party Launcher in Android 12.0 System

If you prefer to install the third-party home launcher apps(like the Nova, Carwebguru, Akama, etc) on the Joying Android 12 version Qualcomm Snapdragon6125 head unit aftermarket car multimedia player.

Please follow the below steps to do:

First of all, Please download this apk file named " CarSettings_jfw.apk " and install it on the head unit.

How to set a third-party launcher as the default launcher?

1. Download CarSettings_jfw.apk from the computer, and copy it to an SD Card or USB drive.

2.  Insert the SD Card or USB drive into the Joying radio, and go to the Filemanager app to install it.

3. After you installed the CarSettings_jfw.apk, then install the third-party launcher you want.

4. Finally go to "settings-Display-application-theme" to choose third-party launcher as the default launcher.

How can the noise of the Honda CRV 2012-2016 Radio be solved?

If you owner the Joying Honda CRV 2012-2016 special car radio with the model number: JY-HZ146N4, JY-HZ153N4, JY-HZ117N8 and get the static noise or white noise from the speakers, you can follow the below steps to solve it. Many customers solved the noise issue by this way, you can feel free to try it also.

First of all, you can switch this “Noise Reduction” option in the setting - factory(password 8888)：

If the issue still persist or it solved provisionally, pls follow the below steps to change the sound output via RCA by modify the cables.

1. Pls find 4pcs cables with the RCA connector like this:

2. Find the 8pcs speaker cables from the Joying power harness (White/White+Black, Grey/Grey+Black, Green/Green+Black, Purple/Purple+Black) and then cut it:

3. Connect the RCA Cables to the speaker cables one by one as the below picture show:

    Tips for OEM Backup Camera Connection on Honda Civic

   If you ordered a Joying Honda Civic Car radio for your Honda Civic car with the year 2016-2021, and the OEM Backup camera cannot work. Pls check the below info:

1. First of all, pls check what your car type is? Auto or Manual?

2. If your car is the Auto type, you only need to make the backup camera input RCA cable connected.  Pls Check the below picture as reference:

3. If your car is the Manual Type, pls check the below connections:

a. Pls find the Full Orange BACK cable from the Canbus box and take it out:

b. Then find your car backup camera cable from this plug:

c. Pls connect the Orange cable to the Green cable:

You can connect the step C like this way:

Then the Backup camera will work normally when you put the car in rear gear.

                                                                                    How to solve the 4G problem on our head unit?

Following ideas are for solving the 4G problem when there is no 4G signal or no internet data on the head unit. you can try the below ways one by one.

The steps No.1-3 are the most important!!

1) You need to connect both 4G antennas to the following "4G DIV" and "4G PRI" as below:

2) You need to buy the following 4G SIM card styles:

3) You need to reboot the head unit after you insert the 4G SIM card on the head unit.

4) You need to choose the proper date and time zone.

5) Please disable the pin code on the 4G SIM card.

6) Please disconnect the following 4G antenna :

 Please check whether these wires on the plug are broken or loose part from the plug.

 If there is no problems on the wire, please connect it again on the board tightly.

7) Please check whether you have inserted the Micro 4G SIM card correctly:

    In case that the SIM card is not fix stable on the slot, you also can try to put a small paper above of the SIM card. So that it can add the thickness.

8) For the APN setting processes:

You need to make clear what is your APN setting for.

In order to get the APN information, you can insert the SIM card on the phone for checking.

And then create an APN on the Joying with the same setting shown on the phone.

After setting the APN, please save it and then restart the head unit.

If your SIM card is from “AT&T”, you can try below APN setting:

If you are from AU, you can use the "Telstra" or "Vodafone" card.

If you are in USA, you better use the SIM card from “T-Mobile” /AT&T company. Please do not use the “version” and “Sprint” as far as possible.

How to connect the Joying Car Stereo back wiring cables

Joying developed a new Mainboard that used to the car radio, and the back of the radio looks like this:

Double din radios:

Single din radios:

You can find there are 4 cables at the back of the radio whatever your car radio is the single din models or the double din models:

Now please follow the below different situation to connect the four cables:

1. If you buy Joying universal head unit with ISO harness or other special head units without Can-bus decoder, please connect "KEY" and "CAN OUT" cable together like the attached picture, then connect your car SWC cables with Joying SWC cables, you can set and use SWC buttons.

 2. If you buy Joying special head unit with Can-bus decoder for Volkswagen/Toyota/Honda, please connect "CAN IN" and "CAN OUT" cable together like the attached picture, then choose proper Can-bus option, your car SWC buttons will work well.

 3. If you buy Joying special head unit with Can-bus decoder for Ford Focus/Jeep/BMW E39/E46, please connect "IR" and "CAN OUT" cable together like the attached picture, then your car SWC buttons will work well.
